My client is a leading global consumer business now looking to recruit a Communications Manager to join their large marketing team based near Bury. Applicants must have extensive experience in marketing communications (internal/external), with some digital marketing, social media and design experience would be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and managing the digital strategy in the UK, i.e. selecting and dealing with the right digital channels to use and how to make them work together
Work closely with Product Manager -to maximise the potential of B2C website
Being solely responsible for the local company website, its content and its update
Work closely with Product Managers to maximise traffic, SEO and ultimately sales
Establish close communication with the internal staff and update the UK team via relevant channels
Support in the development and update of Brand and Value Propositions and development of appropriate stories for divisions
Accountable for management of external crisis communications, PR and Social Media.
Establish close communication with all relevant counterparts in headquarters in Germany, including divisional and corporate branding along with Digital Engagement Manager and PR Manager, to share knowledge and best practice
Support divisions in design of targeted marketing campaigns promoting product and service solutions to existing and potential customers, in line with the divisional business plan
Build relationships with key media to strengthen understanding of our business and create awareness of our vision, values and purpose
Support Senior Managers of each division on the development and execution of the Marketing Plan
Provide support to divisions in preparing for and presenting the launch of new product and service solutions
Lead, plan and deliver effective proactive consumer PR campaigns that reflect business priorities
In conjunction with divisions, create and maintain up-to-date databases on competitors' communication activities
Develop your professional competence through engaging in on-going training and development, as well as keeping up-to-date knowledge on relevant marketing trends that would share with the marketing team
Communicate with the Senior Project Manager on all aspects of your role in line with agreed administration protocols
Undertake any other marketing tasks required that support achievement of personal, departmental and company objectives
Assist with adhoc projects

Skills Required:
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Related professional qualification - desirable e.g. CIPR, CIM
Some experience of Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing - preferred
Successful track record of designing and delivering effective communications campaigns (internal or external) that have integrated media, marketing, digital, design and research activities and have delivered against objectives- essential
Must have recent experience working in a similar marketing communications role, within a commercial capacity

Knowledge of fmcg ,consumer durables, healthcare, or pharma sectors - preferred
Relevant experience working with design and communication software

Knowledge of adobe (photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign) - Desirable
Penchant for storytelling & strong writing capability
Creative thinker with innovative approach to communication and marketing activities
Proven experience in digital marketing across all channels
Ability to build relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at various levels
Effective time management and organisational skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Commercial awareness
Proven implementation skills
Able to work away from home -as and when required within reason
Demonstrable IT skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Able to work five days per working week (minimum 40 hours)
Hold a full driving licence

Salary £35k+Bonus 15% + Company car

Hours - core hours 8.30-5.30pm (8am-5pm)
