Marketing Operations Manager

£55,000 - £80,000 per annum

Location: London and Norwich

A European Market Leader in the specialist security sector is currently recruiting for a Marketing Operations Manager to grow a new business line, and form part of the senior management team for the UK. Acting as a driving force behind the business, the Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for overall leadership and performance within all practical and operational areas or marketing, including general management, digital sales and marketing, customer service, budget and financial management, product management and team leadership. This role will be ideally suited to a candidate with commercial management and organisational leadership skills, coupled with a solid background in e-commerce-led roles.

Key responsibilities:

-Developing a business plan to support profitable growth within this area of the business.

-Defining and implementing budgets and preparing reports for senior management to assess delivery against performance.

-Ensuring all marketing practices comply with company and legislative policies.

-Providing team structure and support at an organisational level, including resources and reporting lines.

-Working closely with Group Marketing Director and external SEO and marketing agencies to drive digital sales growth.

-Deploying and measuring marketing activities to generate sufficient lead generation activities to drive growth.

-Working alongside the Group Marketing Director to rebrand the business line, ensuring that the business has appropriate digital resources to drive growth. This will include testing marketing strategies and selecting product and pricing strategies.

-Preparing and delivering sales and marketing information for the monthly trading reviews.

-Implementing appropriate sales incentives and KPIs to monitor performance.

-Mapping out the competitor landscape and commercial implications.

-Working with Group Marketing Director to build the underlying digital structure to launch the business across the UK and in future in Europe.

-Creating a customer service structure to support the organisation and measure success on an ongoing basis.

-Working closely with UK operations management to secure necessary financial resources and systems are used to deliver customer requirements.

-Ensuring the services are delivered at rates which deliver acceptable returns.

-Close collaboration with product management, selecting, pricing and marketing products to ensure commercial success.

-Managing messaging and value proposition strategies for selected products.

-Developing and managing supplier relationships to acquire and develop new products with clear USPs.

-Recruiting, developing and training and retaining a team, developing individuals within their jobs to be the best they can.

The successful candidate:

-Proven general management skills and ability to manage a standalone business.

-Proven track record in delivering digital sales growth in a B2B or a B2C environment, with experience in developing and delivering digital marketing plans.

-Experienced in e-commerce and digital marketing.

-Numerate, entrepreneurial and commercially astute with proven ability to develop value propositions, pricing and financial returns.

-Strong understanding of brand development and brand management.

-Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal.

-Ability to recruit, manage and develop a team and operate in a matrix environment.

-Customer focused with superior interpersonal and client-facing skills.
