About the job
Design & Production Co-ordinator is a newly-created position intended to improve workflows and communications both internally and with external clients.

Working closely with the Head of Design, the successful candidate's primary task will be to handle relationships with external clients and agencies, including all communications required to receive advertising submissions in a timely and professional manner. Secondary tasks will focus on assisting the rest of the design team with typesetting and other day-to-day duties.

The successful applicant will have an eye for detail, great communication skills and a knowledge and interest in publishing. We are looking for somebody with 2-3 years' experience in a similar position, who can demonstrate excellent organisational skills with proficiency on both Mac and PC platforms.

Main tasks:

  • Assist the production of magazines and directories
  • Hold regular meetings with sales team regarding upcoming publications and advertising
  • Contact and chase clients for advertisement copy
  • Ensure and confirm that all advertising meets the required standard and specifications
  • Control ad booking pages on CRM
  • Upload publications to app
  • Assist with design work as required by Head of Design. Tasks include conference brochure agenda changes, creation of web banners, creation of PDFs as required, resizing images and logos, uploading documents to website, typesetting various materials including the annual directory, and assisting with the general administration of the design department

The successful candidate must:

  • Have 2-3 years' experience in a similar position in print production
  • Be able to multitask and manage their time effectively, be self-motivated and demonstrate excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Be flexible and co-operative, yet firm enough to ensure submissions are in on-time and deadlines are met, and be able to communicate clearly and effectively when problems arise
  • Be Mac and PC proficient
  • Have strong knowledge of a CRM - knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics would be an advantage
  • Have competant-to-strong skills in Adobe InDesign and Acrobat and have good written skills
  • Previous relevant experience in the financial sector would be a distinct advantage

Salary: £24,000 to £28,000 DOE
