The Marketing Academy is open for applications for its annual ‘Fellowship’ programme, designed to equip CMOs for the boardroom.
The programme, sponsored by ISBA, Adobe and British Airways and developed in partnership with McKinsey & Company is open to 15 ‘Fellows’. They must typically have 15 years leadership experience and demonstrate a clear ambition and the potential to take on the top job.
Sessions include a three-day residential course plus ongoing masterclasses that cover elements such as corporate finance, governance, industrial relations and supply chain.
There is also a mentorship scheme, offering Fellows the chance for one-on-one coaching with some of the most high-profile names in British business.
Marketing Week is a founding partner of the Academy.
Last year’s cohort included John Lewis marketing director Craig Inglis, Sarah Warby, marketing director at Sainsbury’s and Keith Moor, the CMO of Santander.
April Adams-Redmond, Kerry Foods CMO who also took part last year, says: “The Marketing Academy Fellowship has been a life-changing experience. The programme gives CMOs the ammunition required to become CEOs and so much more.”
This year’s programme commences in January 2016 and runs for 12 months. Applications can be made via www.themarketingacademy.org.uk with the deadline set for 11 September 2015.
